Dominican authorities arrest 81 year-old man while selling drugs
SANTO DOMINGO. - The National Drugs Control Agency (DNCD) yesterday arrested an 81 year old man who together with a female companion, 58, sold narcotics in the barrio Capotillo, where dozens of portions of crack were seized from the couple, which were ready for sale.
The DNCD said Luis Ramirez and Josefina de Los Saints were detained red handed, and are among the 56 people arrested around the country yesterday afternoon, which together with the Police, seized 29 portions of cocaine, 135 of marijuana and 103 of crack.
Spokesman Roberto Lebrón said the DNCD detained Ramirez in front of a betting parlor as he was dealing with the drugs.
